Book the city's sale inspection first
Riverview inspects every house before it sells. It's $200, plus $75 for each re-inspection. The inspector needs inside and outside access with the utilities on; it's $50 more if they're off, and $50 to cancel.
If the inspection finds repairs, the buyer can sign an affidavit taking them on and has six months to finish them, with an escrow deposit set by the city.

Call the DPW at 734-281-4270 for the final meter reading. A day's notice before closing is enough, and there's no fee.
